6

I decided to hire the babysitter today so Jeremy and I could run together. We ran 6! I'm so glad I did because it was a blast! It's nice to be able to run with my husband and not behind him. He's not running as fast as he was and I am running faster so it's a good place for us to be.

It's about 38 degrees and very windy but I would much rather run in that than the heat. I'm having some ankle issues but I think it is just tendinitis. It went away during the run. Thank you Lord for that!

I don't see how I can be ready for the FULL in February. I'm still not going to say no but I am thinking about one in April that's in Dallas. We shall see! Regardless, it's nice to be in a new year and starting over in my mileage. I have set a goal for my miles in 2009 just like I did in 2008. Last year I started logging my miles on my blog with my friend Wendy (her idea) and it worked great!!! Just knowing I could add miles to my sidebar made me want to stick with it and run! My goal was to run 500 miles in 2008 and I ran 575!!!

I have NEVER, NEVER started something this big and stuck with it! I am so proud of myself! It's all because of the work God has done and continues to do in my life. Thank you Jesus for running and the time I spend with you every single time my feet hit the pavement!

It's a new running year with a new goal!!

  1. Amanda, I am so proud of you and your accomplishments in 2008. I actually saw you running one day. You were on Hwy 79 just past the Wal-Mart...headed back to Hutto. When I saw you...I thought, "that looks like Amanda.." As I passed...I could tell it was for sure. I love you and hope you reach all of your running goals in 2009. I am still building miles...maybe someday I will run a full. But, they would have to close down the race with me still running as of now. The half is my friend for the present. And I am happy with that. I am just trying to shave off 12 minutes right now. I want to get under 3 hours. Thank you again for the bracelet...I run with it always now. Blessing to you from our God & Father in 2009. Barb Welch
