The week following the marathon is hard. There is nothing more I would like to do than go outside and run a 10 miler! I can't imagine being one of those who run it and are glad it's over and glad they don't have to run again. Not me! I want to run but I have to let my body recover. There is a lot of damage done to the body from a marathon, things I can't even feel. I have to rest but I sure don't want to.
Training for Chicago will begin in June. We are also moving next month. A lot of stuff happening between now and June. I figure now is the time I can take a Zumba class at the gym (Latin dance class workout) and some pilates or maybe yoga. I know for sure I am going to do the 15 minute ab class next week! Working on my core muscles will really help me run a better marathon in October!
I miss the marathon soooooo much!
