The taper is hard. You would think it would be enjoyable to have the break and not log so many miles but to the mind I just feel like it's not enough. I have an 8 mile run this weekend that I am dreading. It's not a run to go fast or do anything crazy, it's simply designed to get miles in and that's it. BORING. But needed. :)
3 miles on the dreadmill last night at the Gym and lots of weights. I'm trying to get my upper half to match the physique of my lower half. The upper half looks like it's been on vacation while the lower half has been hard at work! I've always lifted free weights for my arms but never to the extent of bringing shape. But right now I'm trying and the more I work on the core, the more I realize how weak my core is. My legs are strong, my core is weak.
